Mukana yleishyödyllisessä toiminnassa

In Finland

The New Children's Hospital project:

In 2014, the Paulig Group donated 1.5 million euros to the New Children's Hospital project. Scheduled for completion in Helsinki in 2017, the new hospital will treat seriously ill children from all parts of Finland, and it will replace the obsolete facilities of Helsinki Children's Hospital and Children's Castle. Paulig did its bit in 1948 when today's Children's Castle Hospital was built. www.uusilastensairaala2017.fi

Vantaan Invalidit ry

Through Employment Centre Visu, Paulig employs the Vantaa Invalids' Association on subcontracts for marketing campaigns. www.vantaaninvalidit.fi.

Domcafé

Since 2001, Paulig has supported the Domcafé missionary café of Turku Parish through donations of coffee. Since 2010, Domcafé has supported the Children's Bank, whose funds are used on projects in support of education for children and young people in different countries. www.turunsrk.fi

Walkers youth cafés:

Sponsorship of the volunteer-based Walkers youth cafés has continued since 1999. During the year under review, Paulig supported an art exhibition held in honour of Walkers' 20 years in operation and donated 750 kilos of coffee to the cafés. Walkers' café staff also took part in coffee training at Paulig. www.asemanlapset.fi

FC Viikingit ry

Paulig sponsors sports for children and young people in Vuosaari through the local football club, FC Viikingit, by donating Brazil bland coffee and mugs to the club. As part of the sponsorship, the club's membership is also encouraged to take care of their local environment. Paulig arranges an annual, open-to-all spring cleaning campaign together with the club for the outdoor areas in Vuosaari.

In Tver, Russia

In 2014, Paulig started supporting a local school. The Slavnovskaya middle school has 18 teachers and 65 pupils. The charity project aims to motivate children to achieve good results in their studies and inspire them to develop their talents. We also want to support the dialogue between the children and teachers and involve Paulig people in corporate volunteering. During 2014, Paulig donated educational equipment like whiteboards, computers and a new piano to the school. We also started a incentive scheme for the best pupils, arranged a children's creativity competition, held several corporate volunteer events and arranged a tour of the coffee roastery.

In Russia, Paulig also collaborates with the Ronald MacDonald Charity Fund. The partnership includes supporting and participating in the events of the fund. During 2014 Paulig arranged coffee tastings or other activities, for example, at the Ronald MacDonald Centre Anniversary, Moscow City Day celebrations and the United Nations' International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Outside Finland

We are a partner in the not-for-profit organisation International Coffee Partners GmbH (ICP) together with five other European family-owned companies in the coffee sector. ICP carries out projects to improve the income and living conditions of coffee smallholders and their families in various coffee countries of origin together with national governments, development agencies and NGOs. The partnership began in 2001. Paulig's contribution to the costs of ICP projects in 2014 was roughly 163,350 euros.

In 2010, the ICP partners initiated the Coffee and Climate project to support coffee growers' adjustment to the challenges of climate change. The project continues and new actors have joined to it.
