The Paulig Institute trains professionals

The Paulig Institute, which operates at the Vuosaari roastery, provides expert coffee training combined with coaching in the use of equipment which Paulig represents for people working in cafés, hotels and restaurants as well as Horeca students.

The Paulig Institute has been in operation since 1980, having trained tens of thousands of coffee adepts. An average of 2,500 Horeca professionals attend courses each year.

The training focuses on how to brew quality coffee, and course members learn about the workings of the coffee chain from bean to cup. In 2011, the course programme was augmented with the Successful Café module for small business owners. The feedback on the courses from participants is excellent, with the average rating from course feedback being 4.8 on a scale of 1-5. Courses can also be taken online.
