Paulig’s Paula is one of Finland’s oldest PR figures and one of the most widely recognised characters in Finnish brand advertising. The first time she appeared was in a drawing on Paulig’s coffee jars in 1904. The name Paula came naturally from the company name in 1926. Paulas have very much been interpreters of their times. Paula changes with the spirit of the day but always with respect for tradition.
In June 2010, Ulla Ristkari was chosen as the new Paula amongst nearly two hundred candidates. As an advocate of quality coffee, Ulla knows the secrets to good coffee and the latest coffee trends.
