Filter Cone

A filter cone is used in making traditional filter coffee as well as when preparing coffee with the pour over method. Filter paper and ground coffee are placed into the cone and hot water is poured over the coffee slowly.

A filter cone is used in coffee preparation with a filter coffee maker and pour over method.

In a filter cone water drips slowly and evenly, extracting the best aromas into the coffee. Filter paper prevents coffee grounds from ending into the cup. Filter paper also removes some fats from coffee, which is why filter coffee has less fat compared to unfiltered coffees. Filter coffee tastes fresh and light compared to unfiltered coffees.
